When will my pre-payment meter be switched over?
You'll get an appointment confirmation email from us as soon as we have one for you. This can sometimes take 4+ weeks, depending on engineer availability.
You'll get a full refund for all top-ups you make while waiting for the switch to be made.
- When the team finds your pre-payment meter, we work with our supplier partner, British Gas, to switch you over to their supply.
- This process can take a couple of weeks.
- Then we arrange an appointment for an engineer to make the switch.
- Depending on engineer availability, this can also take 3-4 weeks.

- You should have an email from us asking you to confirm which times are best for an engineer appointment.
- These times can't be guaranteed, but we'll do our best to get a convenient appointment time for you.

Important info about your engineer appointment ✅
- Someone aged 18+ will need to be at your address during the appointment.
- The engineer will need clear, easy access to your meter(s), so the area around the meter will need to be kept clear, and any doors/cupboards etc. should be unlocked.
