What happens while I'm waiting for my pre-payment meter to be switched?

You should have an email and a new top-up card or key from us at your new address. If you haven't, get in touch with the details below 👇

  • Let us know which times are best for an engineer appointment. You should have an email with a survey link. Get in touch ASAP if not! 👍

  • Use the top-up card or key you get from us on or shortly after move-in day to top up your meter.
    • Insert it into your meter for 2 mins, until you hear a beep, and then top up as usual with the instructions below.
    • Please don't use any keys that are already in the property.
    • If you have a smart pre-payment meter, you'll get an email from us with the information you need to top up!
  • You'll get a full refund for any top ups you make so make sure you get a confirmation email or receipt!
