What happens while I'm waiting for my prepayment meter to be switched for a credit meter?

Top up the prepayment meter and you'll get a refund from us within 5 working days, so make sure you get a receipt!

Depending on the type of meter you have, there are many different top-up points to choose from.

Suppliers could offer the option to top up: 

Topping up in a paypoint store:

  • Take the meter card or key from the current provider to the Paypoint
    • If you haven't had one in the post,  get in touch with us as soon as possible.
  • Once you top up, please upload a photo of the receipt, or a screengrab of the top-up confirmation to your dashboard.
    • You'll get a full refund within 5 working days of submitting your receipt.

Make sure you get proof in the form of receipt or confirmation email. Without a receipt or confirmation, your refund can't be processed!
