How do I access my web management page to change my BT router name or password?

Your web management page is where you change your Wi-Fi name, network password and other router settings.

The web management details for BT router is:
http://tplinkmodem.net or http://192.168.1.1
Find the default network name and password on your router’s label.

Make sure these details are entered correctly ☝️✅

If you can’t access your web management page:

  • Try again with another web browser
  • Turn your router off and on at the wall and try again
  • Disable then enable the network adapter in use
If none of those steps work, your IP address could be the issue:
  • Look in your network settings to see if your device is set to a static IP address.
    • On Windows: This setting is usually in the Wi-Fi or Local Area Network part of your settings.
    • On Mac OS: Find this setting in System Preferences > Network.
  •  If the computer is set to a static IP address, change the settings to get a IP address automatically.
  • Try logging in to your router management page again with the details above ⬆️

The DSL light on my BT router isn’t staying solidly on:
  • Check that your cables are all plugged in correctly at both ends, both network/phone cables and the power adapter.
If your cables seem fine:
  • Restore your modem router to its factory default settings.
  • Hold down the ‘reset’ button on the back of the router for at least 10 seconds.
  • If possible, plug the modem directly into your phone socket and try the steps above.
  • See if BT is having any service outages in your area.

What if I forget the login for my BT router settings page?

  • Restore the modem router to its factory default settings by holding down the reset button on the back of the router for at least ten seconds.
  • Log in again with the default information on the router’s label.
  • Set a new password.

What if I forget my BT Wi-Fi password?

  • If you haven’t changed the default password:
    • The default Wi-Fi Password is on the label on the  bottom of your router.
  • If you’ve changed the default wireless password:
